Three Fat Singletons

Three Fat Singletons is a hilarious, heartwarming, and unapologetically real story about three lifelong friends who are fed up with life’s disappointments and set off in search of laughter, love, and maybe a bit of adventure. Join these three fabulous women on an outrageous, side-splitting adventure as they leave behind their everyday woes and head for the sun.
Jesse, Mary, and Dotty are best friends with one thing in common: they’re single, frustrated, and on the verge of giving up on love.
Jessie, the bold and adventurous one, has a plan: escape to the sun for a much-needed getaway filled with fun, flirting, and a fresh perspective on life. It’s exactly what they all need to shake things up and leave behind their everyday woes.
Mary is a devout Catholic with a secret addiction to Nutella and a history of heartbreak—ever since George shattered her in Greece, she’s only pursued the unattainable: married men. But even that’s lost its thrill. Meanwhile, Dotty, a former opera singer who tips the scales at twenty-eight stone and isn’t afraid to flaunt it, is a social butterfly who dreams of meeting Mr. Right, even if her escapades at clubs and church functions haven’t quite delivered. This holiday could be her chance to rewrite her love story—or at least get a fresh start.
As they embark on their sun-soaked adventure, it’s their unbreakable bond of friendship that truly takes centre stage. Through every twist and turn, it’s their love and support for one another that keeps them going. This is a story about more than just finding love; it’s about rediscovering yourself and the people who matter most.
Three Fat Singletons is a laugh-out-loud and touching celebration of friendship, self-discovery, and the unpredictable ways life unfolds. Perfect for anyone who knows the true value of good mates and the power of a shared bottle of wine when life goes sideways.
Changing Seasons

Changing Seasons is the sequel to Three Fat Singletons
A heart-warming story about the colourful lives of three lifelong friends, Jesse, Dotty, and Mary. For decades, these three friends have effortlessly and lovingly intertwined their lives through the challenges that life has thrown at them. But now, they are about to face their biggest challenge yet as they embark on new paths dealing with their body types, career choices, and romance.
Jesse, a vibrant overweight divorcee, had been told twelve years ago that she would never have children. But here she is, staring at a blue cross on a white plastic stick, pregnant and alone, with no idea who the father is.
Dotty, who would rather die on an operating table than exist a moment longer in a body that couldn’t fit into an aeroplane seat, needs to find a way to get her friends on board for what is to be one of the most dangerous chances she’d ever take with her life.
Mary had made a vow to herself to never get involved with men again, or so she thought. The next day, an ad popped up on her social media account. The stunning mountains of Tanzania enticed her for a five-hundred-mile bike trek. She had nine months to train from couch-potato to super-athlete, and for once, she was determined to commit to herself. The feelings she now has for the man who offered to train her were purely one of gratitude, wasn’t it?
Over the course of nine months, these three best friends have their relationships pushed to the limit. They realize they won’t be with each other when they most need it. Jesse, Dotty, and Mary suddenly discover themselves in impossible situations without their usual support circle. They each realize they are now facing their new paths head-on… alone.
This is a story about friendship, love, and the challenges that come with growth and change. It’s a relatable and heart-warming journey that explores the complexities of life, and how the support of our loved ones can make all the difference.
“So the book didn’t make it to my holiday because I read it all in two sittings! I love it. Made me laugh and made me cry.”
One Last Time
Still Editing: This is the first book I ever started to write – a gritty thriller which I stopped writing as I felt I didn’t want to put something that dark in the world.
Twenty years later, I’ve removed the darkness, leaving a few shadows, but kept the characters who I adore!
Due to a significant re-write I’m still editing this one to ensure I have just the right amount of light and dark – watch this space!

Second Chance
Founders Award Winner!
I was pretty much dared to write this screenplay!
Tito Vodka was the sponsor of this competition that had to be written with a dog as a character… this was a challenge for me but I LOVED writing it. I’m still working on this one as it’s so much fun, the relationship between the dog and the other characters I’ve introduced is lovely.
This will be a blub fest if it gets to theatres!
